Jesus says, do not fear them who can kill the body, rather fear him who can destroy, kill, soul and body.
it would appear once you have taken the mark, thats it, no going back, or chance of salvation, seems pretty final, the fate of those who take the mark, follow the beast, and worship his image.
A lost eterinty would not be worth it, for the joy that was before Jesus, he endured the cross.
saying that, human weakness when persecuction comes.
Peter and the cockrell crowing a reminder to us all,
we will needs Gods grace, spirit, and strengh, peace.
i have as im sure we all have experenced Gods spirit within us, to the point if we faced iminent death, a gun in a face, a guilateen.
we would not even blink an eye.
not by stengh nor by might, but my spirit says the Lord, and to those who over come,
not loving our own lives even to death, to die is gain to live is Christ
This is the real mystery, contemplate
The hope of Glory Christ in you. to know this fullness, satan fears this,
Jesus said he/she who believes on me, will do the things i do, and greater things will he do.
The Kingdom of God does ot come with observation.
Jesus says the kingdom of God is within us. johnny

Would we actually know that the mark of the beast is the mark of the beast? We don't know exactly what form it will take. What if we took it accidentally?

Not possible.. you'll be killed if you don't take it, so it'll be pretty obvious

I'm not so sure that it would be impossible for one to take the mark "accidentally". While the "fault" would still be with the person accepting the mark, for lack of scriptural discernment; Ezekiel chapter 9 also speaks of a "mark" that has an entirely different PURPOSE. Personally, I believe that the passage in Ezekiel will be the "perverted biblical grounds" that will be cited by the Antichrist and his minions in order to TRICK those with a limited knowledge of scripture into receiving the mark! It's passages such as this that were grounds for my vehement rebuke towards the former WWCO member "Helper" when he proclaimed that "STUDY" of scripture was both unimportant and irrelevant and that it's ACCURACY could no longer be trusted anyway, as it had been "watered down" over the many centuries of translations! My friends, the devil will stop at NOTHING in order to deceive, divide, (and if it were possible) DESTROY the body of Christ here on this planet! God wasn't "kidding" when He inspired Paul to pen the words of 2Timothy 2:15 and 3:16. Regardless of what "we" think or feel; God's judgement on our actions (or lack thereof) will be both fair and accurate, so this is almost a moot point to ponder.
Maranatha .....and God bless!

As Chaplin has stated, study of the scriptures will help prepare one for what may ly ahead in these end times, but even with this, one must be dedicated to the Lord and trust Him over all the see and understand.
The need to comtemplate this and gain self awarness of what it will be like is a must if one wishes to be prepare and not fall prey to the deceiver.
The Lord stated in (Matt 24), I will shorten the days for the very elects sake, or no flesh would be saved.
The days of Antichrist will only be appox 5.5 months (the time of the locust army), but how is one to survive 5.5 months without the means to feed themselves or take care of business?
This is why we have the teachings of the (OT) so that we can learn from the experiences of the past and know for a certain that God will get us through, but even with this assurance, we must be wise in our preparations.
The teachings of the Antichrist will so closely resemble Gods actual truth that unless you have prepared yourself through the study of the scriptures, you will not be able to discern the difference.
This is the trial of the the end time, have you payed attention?
Not being able to buy and sell is only a small part of it, for the mark is accepting the wrong truth believing that it is Gods truth.
How easily it will be to deny the falsehoods of that which you know from the study of scripture to be true, but how differcult it will be to deny that which you are unprepared for when your own family and friends hand you over to the falshood teachers of Antichrist trying to get you saved.
In their eyes, you will be the one mistaken and lost, and because they love you, they will deliver you over to the false ones believing that they are doing you kindness.
Jesus taught us all of this in order that we may be prepared and not caught sleeping, however, we must be watchful and obedient unto the end.
I will be with you even unto the end of the world................Jesus

hmm . . . I thought the Mark would just be required to buy and sell., and the resulting death would just be via starvation and exposure.
Revelation 13:17 (New International Version)
17so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name.
A bit more complicated than being killed outright.
Edit: I see JTF pointed this out in the post above =)

The reasoning of the Antichrist is to take the place (worship) of God from God and not turn the people against him by being a murderer.
It is his desire to be God, and from his standpoint, if he achieves the worship of Gods children (especially Israel), he will have dethroned God and obtained God status for himself.
He will come before the world with kindness and prosperity and have the solutions to all the worlds problems and needs whether financial, health, lawlessness, whatever.
His desire is to be crowned "king" over all of mankind and with his super natural abilities (intelligence, strength, and beauty), the rulers and peoples of this world will gladly accept him who have not the seal of God.
Mankind as a whole choose to establish their own salvation as humans and spend numerous amounts of money on technology trying to accomplish this goal.
Instead of accepting Gods salvation through Christ, they choose to establish their own just as they did at the tower of Babel after the flood in Noah's time.
This is what they will believe that the Antichrist is offering them.
Immortality in this world as they are (flesh), and not through the conversion of the Holy Spirit as God implicated.
Satan (Antichrist) does not wish to "Kill" anyone accept Gods election, for how convincing would he be as the loving savior if his tactics were otherwise.
Instead, he will come as the savior sent of God as propheised unto Israel, ready to institute the kingdom promised by God unto Israel (on the earth) that they are still waiting for, however, God never stated that "His" kingdom would be of this world.
Satan has not the power to accomplish this, but remember that his power is in deception, and he will be as the politicians who promise everything but are unable to deliever.
By the time that mankind figure this out, it will be too late for most.
The two witnesses that God will send during this time (the two sons of oil) will perice the fog of confussion that Satan will have generated by speaking very boldly the truth through the power of the Holy Spirit as on the day of Pentecost.
This will begin to cause the people of the earth (Other than the elect) to question and reason out for themselves the truth of this one that they have given their alliance to.
For this cause, Satan (Antichrist) will come upon these two witnesses of God swiftly and murder them to prevent futher exposure as the fake Christ.
This is, and will be the only time that Satan will murder one of Gods elect (derfacto) for all his murderous deeds before this are of the spirit by destroying Gods children through confusion and lies.
No flesh will be lost at this time, for how conviencing would the Antichrist be if he allowed even one person to die while he was making the claim to be God?
Later

Hi All,
I know this sounds nasty, but you could always raid bins behind supermarkets. If you have not the money to store food. And lets remember LUKE 12: 22-34. God would never allow his faithful to suffer. So I think I'll pass on the mark.
God bless.

I would not take the mark. I do have a question about this. Will the rapture happen before the mark? And if not what about children who have no choice and the parents put the mark on them?
