I am very interested in my country's heritage, and maybe I know more about it than you do! I just prefer to get my information from reliable historical sources, not from this fanciful romanticising.

There is no connection between the Israelites and the Saxons.

The Biblical prophets make no specific prophecies about individual modern European nations.

This is all a product of someone's overworked imagination.

The Bible says, "Test everything" (I Thessalonians 5:21) with good reason.

Since you insist in being so negative toward me and this issue concerning the migrations of Israel, then prove me wrong in scripture and in the history of Great Britian, America and the world.

Tell me just who Ephraim and Manasseh are in the world today?

Tell me why the prophecy toward them is of the end times?

Tell me where they reside, for God would not have prophesied of them if they no longer existed?

I am interested in where I am wrong with this teaching, being that God stated the same.

The article that I submitted was only a summary of the migrations and prophecy pertaining to Israel, but it is a good starting point if one wishes to study this for themselves, and I wish they would study the scriptures before stating that I am wrong and my documentation is faulty.

Thank you

It puzzles me that you ask me for "proof" yet appear to accept these teachings without question. I find their reasoning so bizarre that I really have no idea how to "prove" anything to you.

What makes you think that Hosea’s prophecy has anything to do with the end times? He prophesied “during the reign of Jeroboam son of Joash” (Hosea 1:1), when the tribes of Ephraim and Manasseh were still very much in existence. His prophecies concentrate on the end of the Kingdom of Israel (which happened at the end of the 8th century BC). They also tell us a great deal about the love of God.

If there really was some hard evidence connecting the Saxons with Israel…. But there isn’t. I’ve found absolutely nothing on the Internet to back it up. There are no linguistic connections: Saxon was an Indo-European language, Hebrew is Semitic, and they are completely unrelated. A few random similarities between certain words doesn’t prove otherwise. The word “Saxon” doesn’t mean “Isaac’s son” by any stretch of the imagination. It is directly derived from the Latin term – “Saxones” – which is nothing to do with “sons” because the Latin for ‘son’ is ‘filius’. The Saxons came from what is now Germany, and the Germans call them “Sachsen” – but the ‘n’ is a standard plural ending and has nothing to do with the word ‘son’.

The article you quoted seems to have just one purpose: to make out that the British (or the Americans) are in some sense God’s chosen people. I find that very worrying, actually - it can be used as a pretext for "white supremacy". God’s Word states that His “chosen people” now are those who put their faith in Jesus – and it has nothing to do with their nationality! (see Galatians 3:14; Galatians 3:26-29; Galatians 6:15,16)

Wink I will venture no farther with this thread, for it is apparent that this knowledge of scripture and Israeli histroy are not desired. Huh??

Your report on the "Saxons" is some what informative Deborah (who by the way were also sons of Isaac), but if you wish to research English history before the rise of the British empire, then you must research the beginning origins of ancient England and the "Anglo Saxons" to discover just where your "Roots" begin.

The "prophecies" pertaining to Ephraim and Manasseh are "End time prophecies", and if you would study everything stated and that related unto them, then you would discover why.

I am not a "racist" for I know that God created all the "races" of people" on the 6th day of creation as it is stated in the manuscripts as (Adam) and not (eth ha Adam) which He created on the 8th day, and  in the Greek Septuagint it is stated as "Ethnos" or the Ethnic peoples (races), and after all was finished, God stated that it was good, or that it pleased Him.

I also know that in Christ, race no longer has any bearing, but the (NaturaL Seed, house of Jacob) are not in Christ as a people (race) and they are still very much in the scope of things in these end times. (Ephraim and Manasseh)

The only problem is that most of Gods children are being taught that Israel only consists of the tiny nation that lies in the middle east, and most are not even remotely aware of their roots or origins of their ancestry.

The blind leading the blind, and both shall fall into the ditch.

I do "however" believe that all races should be proud of their heritage and remain in their on culture as God created them to be, but that is just my opinion.

I agree, JTF: further discussion is pointless. Your understanding of "truth" and "knowledge" seems to be completely different from mine. We might as well be speaking different languages.
